  • Montgomery has either visited or will visit three colleges in December.

"I visited Southern Illinois last weekend (December 2nd-4th)," said the 6-0, 183-pounder. "I'm visiting Mississippi State on the 18th (of December). They set it up about two weeks ago. The Minnesota coach is supposed to come down this week to finalize things about my visit (to Minnesota)."

Montgomery expects both colleges to offer on his official visits.

"Mississippi State will make the offer official on the visit and Minnesota is going to make it official on the visit as well," said Montgomery, who already has offers from Southern Illinois and Jacksonville State.

Both schools like his style of play and exceptional speed.

"They like my physicalness and my speed," said Montgomery, who runs a 4.38 forty yard dash.

As for what schools lead for his signature, he's got two at the top of his recruiting wish list.

"My top are Mississippi State and Minnesota," said Montgomery, who anticipates graduating junior college in December.

With the official visit to Mississippi State right around the corner, he talked about what he likes about Mississippi State.

"They will give me a lot of exposure," said Montgomery, who said his Mississippi State recruiting coach is safety coach Tony Hughes. "I'll be better able to achieve a lot of my goals such as going to the NFL and getting my degree."
