MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update Week 3

The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a free weekly feature available to all readers that allows Bulldog fans to keep up with how the Bulldogs to be are doing in their final seasons before heading to Starkville next fall.

Kivon Coman led a strong defensive effort with 12 tackles and a pair of interceptions in a 34-6 Florence win over Buckhorn.

Kivon now has four picks in just two weeks of work.

Xavier Grindle and East Marion (3-0) won bragging rights for all of Marion County. Last week the Eagles knocked off West Marion and this week Xavier ran over the Columbia Wildcats.

Grindle recorded touchdown runs of 40, 4 and 2 yards as East Marion rolled 31-6.

Torrey Bell and John Curtis outlasted the rain and wind from Tropical Storm Lee to blast Franklinton 34-0 in the season opener for both teams.

Quadry Antoine and Belle Chasse saw their game postponed. Ryan Brown and Archbishop Shaw are scheduled to play Rummel on Saturday afternoon weather permitting.

Brandon Holloway and Alonso advanced to 2-0 after a 25-14 win on the road at Gaither.

Nelson Adams and Brandon got the better of Clinton and fellow Bulldog commitment Cedric Jiles on Friday night. The Bulldogs earned a hard fought 18-10 win.

Fred Brown and Jim Hill (1-2) got their first win of the season on Thursday evening when they got by Lanier 29-12.

Devon Desper and Madison Central (1-2) got on the positive side of the win column this week after a late touchdown lifted the Jags to an important win over Petal 28-24.

Adairius Barnes and Port Gibson (3-0) continue to win comfortably with a strong defensive effort. This week the Blue Waves knocked off Jefferson County 24-6.

Will Redmond and Memphis remain undefeated after a 26-6 contest with Central High School.

Cole Carter and Caledonia (2-1) suffered their first defeat in an overtime thriller with Heritage Academy. The Confederates come up just short 48-45.

Gus Walley and Greene County lost a tough contest to George County 23-17.

Devon Bell and Warren Central remain winless on the 2011 campaign after falling to Hattiesburg 29-7.

Nick James and Deonte Evans both enjoyed a bye week this week.
