Lindgren Makes It Official

Left-handed pitcher Jacob Lindgren has made his decision to play college baseball at Mississippi State. The talented prospect, who was drafted in the 12th round by the Chicago Cubs in the 2011 Major League Baseball draft this past June, took a few minutes to talk about his future with the program and why he decided to go the college route over pro ball.

The St. Stanislaus High School graduate had two good options in front of him. He could elect to make the jump to the pro ranks with the Chicago Cubs, or stay in state and get his education while playing ball at Mississippi State. He decided on the latter.
