Routt Changes Up His Post-Season Pace

Yes, even a veteran Diamond Dog can be taught a new trick in a very short time. Now Nick Routt hopes he can parlay a fresh pitch into another postseason success as he prepares for a turn against a hot bunch of Gator batters in the Gainesville super regional.

"I'm throwing like a split-changeup now," says the Mississippi State southpaw. "It's almost like a split-finger/changeup." However labeled, the brand-new addition to his junior repertoire makes Routt an even more formidable opponent.
