Building of the football team itself has progressed splendidly the past two years. Now Mississippi State is expanding into other areas of program construction, with plans for a football-specific facility advanced today by a $12 million gift from the Seal Family Foundation. It is, as athletic director Scott Stricklin noted, "The largest single gift in our athletic department history."

It is also the largest single contribution towards funding what will become Bulldog football's headquarters; a two-story complex overlooking the current practice fields site from the hilltop just north of the Palmeiro Center. When the facility—not yet formally named but sure to bear the name of Leo Seal. Jr.—is completed, Mississippi State will have everything needed to operate a championship... Recommended Stories
