MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update Week 9

The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a free weekly feature that allows readers the chance to see how the current Bulldog commitments are doing in their final seasons before arriving in Starkville. The Bulldog-to-be had a pretty good week.

Joe Price scored on runs of 55, 50, 30, 5 and 4 as Madison Central advanced their record to 7-0 on the season after knocking off Warren Central 49-7.

Darion Arrington also had a strong night running the ball. Dee ran for 242 yards and two touchdowns in Stone's loss to Picayune.

Joe Morrow reeled in a 32 yard touchdown late in his team's 28-3 win over district foe Biloxi. The win moves the Greyhounds to 5-2 and 201 in the region.

Ocean Springs will host Harrison Central and Nick Redmond next week in a battle of Bulldog commitments.

The Red Rebels fell to 1-6 last night after their 34-14 loss to Petal.

Bernardrick McKinney was 8 of 16 passing for 114 yards and a score to go along with 208 rushing yards and two long touchdowns on 17 carries.

McKinney also threw in seven tackles on defense as Rosa Fort runs their record to 7-1 with a 28-26 win over North Panola.

C.J. Johnson and Philadelphia (8-0) remained unbeaten and basically unchallenged as they knocked off Southeast Lauderdale 45-7.

Justin Cox had a 92 yard scamper for a touchdown to help West Point improve to 6-1 with a 22-20 win over Oxford who had a chance to tie in the final minutes, but were denied.

Devin Fosselman and James Maiden are enjoying the best season of their high school careers as Wilkinson County (5-2) gets by rival Jefferson County 26-18.

Jermaine Whithead and Amanda Elzy also sport a 5-2 mark after a 38-28 win over McClain.

Dak Prescott played just over a half, but he did enough damage to last a while. Dak threw for 185 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another as Haughton (7-0) blew out Fairpark 42-6.

Zach Jackson and Heidelberg lost a close one to Clarkdale 41-38. The setback drops the Oilers to 1-7 on the season.

Rufus Warren and Gentry won an important ball game over Saltillo 35-12. The Rams are now 3-4 on the season, but in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Daniel Knox and West Lauderdale dropped to 0-8 with a homecoming loss to Northeast Jones 30-18.

Preston Smith and Stephenson stayed perfect on the season after knocking off Newton County (GA) 22-16.

Devonte Scott and Ferriday stumbled out of the gate this year, but seem to be finding their groove. The Trojans are now 2-0 in district play and 3-3 overall after a 34-0 win over Mangham.

Josh Robinson and Franklinton continue to dominate their opponents. This week the Demons blasted Riverdale 58-0.
